Where is the fun ?
I'm playing Monk all the time. Healing, Proting, Smiting, 600hp, 55hp monk. I know it all. Also I got a R3 KoabD with that char.
I want to ask you a question.
Should I start a Warrior and play like a real Barbarian ?
Maybe an Assasin sneaking around like a ninja and earn enormous mount of money ?
Or Elementalist nuking and blowing things all around ?
Try Mesmers and make everyone mad ?
Ranger maybe ?
Which of theese proffesions is fun to play and with which prof. GwamM is easy to get.

Mesmers would make a group happy in PvE, sir. I'd say elementalist, but they're best as support or heal in hard mode.
Surely someone else will make a reply just like this, but different people find different professions fun.
I'm personally enjoying dervish since I haven't payed much attention to them before.

If you're going for GwamM, the easiest profession to get it on will be your Monk since you're already R3.
There will always be missions/dungeons/vq's where one class struggles while another gets a free pass<-The struggling part is where the fun's at. Why are you going for the easier route if you're looking for fun?

If you want easy - paragon.
If you want fun - make one of each class and play it til level 20. Pick the one you like best. Nobody else knows your preferences and playstyles so all they can give you is their personal opinion. EG for me, mesmer was the most fun.
If you want GWAMM - stick with your monk, you're already r3.

To really find it out you need to try them all. Since every person has their own taste of professions. We don't know which you might like the most so you just have to test them all out. Don't compare the professions between PvE and PvP tho.
This answer did not help you a ***** but it's the truth. You might like warrior fun which I don't like at all.

Suppose that I'm makin' a melee char.
Warrior ? Assasin ? Devish ?
Which one of these can get the fastest acceptance into a PUG? Which one is needed most in a group ?
Which brings profits most ?

Sin will get you the most profit between those, but when it comes to any "high-end" area, good luck finding a group that'll ask for somethin besides an SF build...
...seriously, it's not gonna happen.

If Shadow Form is needed, the sin first. If not I generally let the dervish in first since not all warrior builds are AoE. That and many warriors still use Ursan...

Only if:
1) They fail at playing a Warrior
or
2) They are f***ing around for fun
@OP, since your Monk is already rank 3 KoaBD, go for GWAMM on the Monk.

If you have loads of $$$ you are rank 1 KOBD without "pve grinding".
Zkeys
sweets
unided
party
ale
Since you have a rank 3 lets assume you are familiar with how much wealth power trading makes.
TS aka. thread starter Please share more about your rank 3 KOBD ? Do you have survivor or Lengendary defender of ascalon?
If your rank 3 consist of mostly "easy" titles, starting a new character of your interest would not be a bad choice.
On a personal note I have 2 "grinding" characters. One is a GWAMM. The other is a rank 4 without the $ titles, exploration titles. My point is you can still grind on both characters.

There is absolutely no way for anyone else to tell you what you will find most fun - it's like asking what's the best colour. (inb4pink) It doesn't take long to level a character, if you are unsure which one you would prefer I suggest you try them. GWAMM is a long haul - you don't want to be stuck on a character you dislike because the majority of the forum suggested it.
